what is it? I always thought Hibachi was the thing that does the cooking, haha. Yup, but also the style of food that comes off it. Akin to "barbecue." You can't just say Japanese food because that includes tempura and sushi too. Which are also both nom, but Hibachi is next level nom. I always called it Teppanyaki. Is there a difference?

The terms are used interchangeably in America but a true Japanese hibachi is an open grate grill like a barbecue. Same word to refer to The grill and the food that comes off it in both instances tho.

Hibachi. Beats the everloving stuffing out of Chinese food. I had this tonight. Hibachi food that is. OMG so freaking good. Nom Nom They have this yum yum sauce......Oh MY! I also tried sushi and mahi mahi. I feel like I should have some BOURban and hire myself a butler to celebrate.
