Donnie Darko I still don't completely understand that movie and I have seen it at least a dozen times. This is a really good one too, . Once I found out what it was about, I didn't stop reading about it for a few days for some reason. It's up there on my favorite movies list.

I found a website that goes into massive detail on what is the parallel and what is the non-parallel and it confused me even more. Basically the entirety of the movie takes place in the parallel universe, minus that last bit after he sends the "artifact" (plane engine) to the non-parallel universe and that's the only point in the movie that does not actually take place in the parallel universe. I read so many fucking pages and diagrams and discussed it for many hours before realizing that somehow.

The thing that gets me is.....how the fuck would ANYONE know what was actually going on in that movie without reading up on it? I mean I basically knew it was some kind of parallel universe kind of thing but unless you are fluent in quantum physics I don't know how anyone could walk away and really know what they just watched . Or maybe I am just stupid.

Or maybe I am just stupid. No one was supposed to know any of that, . Actually had nothing to do with any kind of physics we really know- all of this information was in the book that the old woman in the movie had "written." None of us ever read this non-existent book so we all had to turn to the internet, hehe. The director even said it should have come with Cliff's Notes. Aaaaaand that's why I liked it so much, oddly. . I fucking love that movie. But it is confusing trying to understand that shit at first. The diagrams are really helpful. My god, diagrams to understand a movie.

I was going to say Twilight as a gag, but I just can't bring myself to do it. And since Dark Knight and No Country for Old Men were taken, I am going to go with The Departed, which I think is right up there with those two anyway. I almost went with that movie. The Departed, not Twilight. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
